Reflecting on 2014

I love to look back and reminisce. It's honestly one of my favorite things to do. This past year has flown by for me. It has been a lot of fun! I got to do and see things I didn't think I'd be able to for a long time! My husband and I were able to travel and live on the East side. Which was so much fun, but with it brought many lonely days when my friends moved away while Chase worked extremely long hours. I am grateful for the oportunity. I learned many things about myself and him. He is a very hard worker and I do not like to be left for so long haha.
We also celebrated our first anniversary in New York! Of course, my cute mom insisted we take our wedding cake and eat it, so we did. To our surprise it was still delicious.
I cannot wait for what next year has in store for us!
I know I have mentioned The Dating Divas before, but I love their blog so much I am going to tell you about it again. It is to help keep spark alive in marriages. I have also found really fun date ideas to do in groups.
Since the new year is coming up very quickly and if you don't have anything planned yet they have a lot of fun party ideas also!

Life at home ( so far)

I love being back in Idaho. We have only been back for a few weeks and have been able to see family and friends.  We were able to catch up and carve pumpkins with my bestfriend.  (:
I was able to go to Yellowstone Bear World. I haven't been in years so that was fun.
Chase is liking his new job. For fun he is restoring an old truck from the 50's with his father and brothers. I am excited to see how it turns out. That's what our life is about as of late.

Niagara Falls

We have finally made it home!  We drove all the way back to Idaho in two days! I am so happy to be back! The time change is hard to adjust to... On our way we stopped at Niagara Falls.  It was really cool to see! I was hoping to be able to see more things on the way but we were to determined to get home.

The East Coast

I am just feeling really grateful today! Chase takes such good care of me, and he is an extremely hard worker. He finally hit over his numbers a few days ago for work and has excelled at his job. It's been fun being able to live all the way on the other side of the coast with him. I just really appreciate him! So here's a list of 10 things I love about him
1- He is an amazing cook
2- He cleans! Even when I don't ask him to
3- Children adore him
4- Even old people and not so old people
5- He does great sound effects
6- He is always happy as long as I have some sort of beverage stocked in the fridge
7- He always brings me home sour straws (candy)
8- He is very passionate about cars and keeping them clean
9- He is very intelligent
10- He lets me watch my shows and will even watch them with me sometimes (:
I am very lucky to have him in my life. He is such a great husband.
The past few days I have been reflecting on our summer! I have gotten to do things I didn't think I ever would have... or it would have taken me many years to do. I got to live and visit New York, and Massachussetts. I got to experience firsthand the whole huge city experience! My sister was always the one who wanted to move to the bigger cities.
I was able to:
- Go to the Statue of Liberty
- Walk and explore around Manhattan
- Visit beaches
- See the Empire State Building
- See Ground Zero, where many innocent lives where lost
- See Central Park
- See all the historical sites in Boston
- Go to the aquarium
- Swan boats
- Go to a Red Sox game
- shop and so much more!
Chase and I planned our trip home the other night. It is going to take us about 4 days to get home. We are going to stop in Ohio and go to Cedar Point! I am so excited but it will ruin me for the smaller amusement parks that I love. We have 12 days left out here. This summer has gone by pretty quickly for me.

Becoming a baseball fan

We moved again to Marlborough, MA. We live about 40 minutes from the city again. I am excited to say we only have 18 days left! I am not really looking forward to the long drive home... but I am excited to see and go thru states I have never been before! We plan on stopping in Ohio and have a day at an amusement park. I am not sure what it is called but Chase went there when he was younger and loved it. As excited I am to be home I will miss the hustle and bustle out here. It has been a really fun experience. I love the big cities. Chase and I were lucky to have relatives that travel for work! My father in law came out and spoiled us rotten! We got to go to a Red Sox game, which was amazing. They played Baltimore. Of course we had to get hamburgers and hot dogs at the game. It was my first professional baseball game! We also went on the Freedom Tour. (It was my second time) I recommend it if you find yourself in Boston.
I am looking forward to being home for the consistency of living in one place longer than 3 weeks at a time haha. Being out here really makes you appreciate all of the things we took for granted, like our own bed, being able to see family and friends whenever we wanted, breathing air that doesn't smell like landfill and pizza mixed, and also a lot less traffic.
    Until next time! xx

Sturbridge, MA

I am enjoying this little village type place we are staying in for hopefully the remainder of the time. It is more open here. There are places to hike, camp, and right behind us people are always boating in the lake or whatever is behind us. It is also really green here and humid. We only have like 29 days left until we move back home until next season (but who's counting). I am so excited. We found a nice church a half hour away from us. The ward is little still but probably bigger than any we have been in so far. The past couple speakers we listened to have been from Utah, and Arizona and have moved out here.
Since we have lived here my crock pot and rice cooker has been a life savor. I love pinterest recipes!
My baby sister finally got engaged! I am so excited for her and her fiance! The past couple weeks have been uneventful for Chase and I exploring wise. There isn't a whole lot to do in this area, but it has been nice to relax. I am hoping to get some hiking in though!
I am quite surprised with all the stores and restaurants out here. They all close at 10, even on the weekends! We have decided it's worse than Utah on a Sunday haha.

Until next time. Xx

Rhode Island

It has been a crazy couple weeks! We have moved twice in one week... I am starting to get sick of moving so much but on the plus side is we have gotten to see quite a few things. Yesterday we went to Newport, Rhode Island since we lived about a hour away! It was so beautiful there. We saw the mansions, did the cliff walk, and saw lots of sail boats. We walked around the shops and had to get cup cakes and ice cream!
I started a book my mom sent me for my birthday. I haven't gotten very far yet but it is called The Sunflower by Richard Paul Evans. It is really good so far. Summer has gone by so quickly out here I am not ready for fall yet. I am ready to go home though so that I can start eating somewhat healthy again. We have had nothing but fast food out here since we don't have a kitchen. We have been lucky to have a mini fridge and microwave though. I drove for the first time in 4 months today! I have forgotten how touchy the breaks on the car were. The traffic is usually crazy, but today I got lucky!
Until next time! Xx

"Nobody likes you when you're 23"

Yesterday was my birthday! My husband spoiled me rotten. He surprised me with my favorite oreo ice cream cake, candles and  a Garmin Watch! Although I wish my family and friends were there to celebrate with me, it was a really great day. We went to Salem, MA and visited an old graveyard. It was really cool to see. The dates were from the 1700's, at least the ones we could read! We wanted to go do the ghost tour but dinner took too long so we want to try and go sometime next week.

(Don't mind my pajamas... he surprised me early)
